Cleveland Browns’ quarterback Brady Quinn has been placed on injury reserve after a right foot injury from Sunday’s victory over the Chiefs. Derek Anderson will start next Sunday against the Raiders. Well, I’m sure he’s going to be sipping on those EAS drinks he’s always commercializing for. Energy. Athletic. Strength.

Brady-Quinn

Going into this past Monday, the majority of people in the NFL already did not take a liking to Browns quarterback Brady Quinn. However, Quinn further isolated himself from the league against the Baltimore Ravens Monday night.

After a thrown interception in the 3rd quarter of the game, Quinn threw a chop block at Baltimore’s Terrell Suggs. As a result of the hit, Suggs now has a torn MCL in his right knee.

The NFL has fined Quinn and Baltimore is furious at what they believe was a blatant hit to hurt Suggs. Quinn apologized after the game saying that it was an accident. I’m not too sure how a premeditated hit was an accident, but whatever works Quinn.

I wish Quinn luck when he has to play against the Ravens in the future because they will sure not give Quinn the benefit of the doubt.

Well it’s about time. How many years ago was it when he was drafted? We’ve seen him in more commercials than on the playing-field. A lot of quarterbacks get drafted and they come out shining in the first year. Look at Mark Sanchez. Brady Quinn, on the other hand, had a much bigger-hype, but rarely had playing-time.

Can’t wait to see him in action.

Brady Quinn Can Active $5 Million Escalator

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

Brady Quinn can activate a $5 million escalator in his rookie contract by playing in 70 percent of the Browns’ offensive snaps this year.

Quinn already missed out on several incentives by hardly playing in his first two seasons. The Browns could save $6.32M by starting Derek Anderson this year, as Quinn also needs to play 45 percent of the snaps to earn another $1.32M. Still, it isn’t like they’d throw the worse QB out there (we hope).

It’s about time. You see him in all those commercials but not on the field. It can be rather confusing sometimes.

He gets drafted in the first round in the 2007 draft and we immediately start seeing him on commercials on every channel. He hasn’t played much since then. He did, however, make his debut, but will we be seeing him as the starter this season?
