Vikings head coach Brad Childress reportedly visited quarterback Brett Favre at his home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Childress claims that the visit was in no way related to see if Favre planned on retiring or not, but to simply see how he was doing since the season for the Vikings has been over for 5 weeks now. However, Favre did ask Childress when he would need to know of Favre’s future. Childress told him in reply that he did not come down to see him for that, therefore it was not an issue. I can’t wait for another off-season like this again.

Before the season began, everyone was talking about Brett Favre. Oh, he shouldn’t come back, he’s too old. Why would the Vikings even consider signing him? How about now? The Vikings are in the top-three teams, with a record of 10-2. They couldn’t of done it without Brett Favre, future NFL Hall of Famer.

No one is mocking Brett Favre now.

Favre focused on Playoffs

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Like millions of other football fans, St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, Miss.) senior Dylan Favre was glued to the TV watching the Week 4 Monday Night Football game pitting Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings against the Green Bay Packers. Favre torched his former team and electrified the Metrodome by throwing for three touchdowns and 271 yards.

Just three days earlier, it was Dylan serving as the conduit of electricity.

That would really be something if they go all the way.

Favre returning to Green Bay

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Earlier this month, Brett Favre lit up his former team, the Green Bay Packers, for 271 yards and three touchdowns. But that wasn’t at Lambeau Field, where Green Bay fans will be cheering against Favre for the first time ever.

The gang at USA TODAY’s Fantasy Sports Weekly radio show — Nate Davis, Steve Gardner and Erick Smith, along with host Scott Linn of Fox Sports Radio — will examine the fantasy implications of this week’s showcase game along with the other top headlines.

I don’t even think the guy cares. All he does is care about himself and his love for the game. I think he respects Green Bay, but it’s obvious he doesn’t have that much respect for the franchise if he’s been with other teams late in his career.

‘96 Packers Speak Out at Favre

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

“Earlier this season, Brett Favre said this of of the 2009 Minnesota Vikings: “Physically, and from a talent level, this is the best team I’ve ever been on.”

Favre’s teammates from the 1996 Green Bay Packers team that won the Super Bowl would beg to differ.

As Favre prepares to return to Lambeau Field for the first time as the member of the rival Vikings, members of the 1996 Packers told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that as good as the Vikings are, they don’t stack up to a team that featured a dominant Reggie White on defense and the league MVP at quarterback — Brett Favre.”

This a prime example that athletes or all people in general for that matter, can see how words could come back to haunt you. We all must be careful in what we say, especially when you are speaking for dozens of other people. These comments basically made Brett Favre look unprofessional.
