The entire New York Knicks organization can be happy today for the first time in a long time. This is because not only did the Knicks acquire Tracy McGrady through a three-team deal, but also freed an excess of $9 million dollars of cap room. Thus, the Knicks are now the team in the NBA with the most cap space, with nearly $30 million dollars.
This is huge for the Knicks because now this puts them in position to have the opportunity to attempt to sign LeBron James and possibly even Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh. The goal is to sign at least one of these free agents, but possibly even two.

After the Knicks played a very competitive game against the Lakers Friday night, they completely dropped the ball against the Mavericks today at home. As a matter of fact, the Knicks suffered their worst home loss in franchise history, being defeated by the score of 128-78. It is hard to explain sometimes the amazing inconsistencies that we see in professional sports.

Well this does not come as much of a surprise, but the Celtics defeated the Knicks today at Madison Square Garden. However, it was not a typical blow out. The Celtics won the game 107-105 by way of a Kevin Garnett shot landed right before the buzzer in overtime.
I guess for the Knicks, sometimes a blow out may even be better then a close loss.

The Knicks are horrible. I was always a big New York Knicks fan growing up, but as I got older, I started seeing the organization fall-apart. Now it’s like they aren’t making any right moves whatsoever, completely killing the fans. It’s ridiculous. They have passed on so many offers that could help build the team back up, so nothing is happening.
They are considering signing Iverson now, can you believe this? This organization needs some better management.

Let’s talk today about the biggest joke in the NBA, and quite possibly even the biggest joke in sports (besides the Mets): the New York Knicks. No matter who is brought in, they will automatically forget how to think in a Knicks uniform.
If you think the Knicks were going to land Lebron in the summer of 2010, you are sadly mistaken. A little news flash is that Lebron James does not want to go to another team where he has to run the whole show without any supporting cast.
In order to get Lebron next year, the Knicks would basically have to trade their whole team prior to the signing.

“MIAMI — Dwyane Wade knows they all won’t be this easy.
Wade began defense of his NBA scoring title with 26 points, Jermaine O’Neal finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds, and the Miami Heat opened with a 115-93 win over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.
New starting power forward Michael Beasley scored 21 for Miami, which made 26 of 31 shots in a staggering 20-minute stretch spanning the second and third quarters, turning a close game into a blowout.
“Pick your poison,” Beasley said. “When we all play like that, it makes the game a whole lot easier.”
Here’s one way to put that absurd Heat shooting spree into perspective: Miami missed fewer shots (five) in more than 1 1/2 quarters than New York’s Al Harrington did (six) in the second quarter alone.
David Lee scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds for New York. Danilo Gallinari added 22 off the bench for the Knicks, who were 10 of 39 from 3-point range.
“We couldn’t make shots and couldn’t stop them,” Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni said. “That’s not a good combo.”

New year, same old Knicks. I thought the Knicks were going to be able to make a statement tonight, but I guess not. The Heat completely dominated this game.
